A recepie bible for celiacs June 6, 2008 Robert J. Mahaney (Buffalo NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Now I can enjoy dessert with my wife again. Jackie was Diagnosed with celiac disease four years ago and dinner was ok but dessert was a problem. We love to eat and that includes dessert!!! How easy it is to have something so tasty. I actually feel guilty that our problem was so easily solved. I was a little confused about the review comparing the title of Julie's book to a magazine. Duh??? Where did that come from? Thank God for self publishers if that be the case, otherwise we may not have such a great book!!!!
Easy and delicious! August 8, 2007 Janice B. Rogenski (Bishop, CA United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I wish I had this book when I was first diagnosed! Although the only photos are on the front and back cover, just reading the recipes makes my mouth water.
Perhaps the greatest strength of the book is it is so easy to use. Generally there is only one recipe per page, with the ingredients listed at the top and preparation directions at the bottom, making it easily read while cooking. And the ingredients are readily available, even in the back-of-beyond area where I live. The only specialized ingredients, readily available, are xanthan gum, gluten-free pasta (other than homemade, Tinkyada brand is easily the best), and gluten-free flour mix.
Buy this book and your entry into a gluten-free diet will be easy. You'll be making delicious company meals as well.

With several friends and family members that cannot tolerate wheat-I was always at a loss when planning a menu. From Appetizers (Blackened Salsa,Spicy Olive Dip !!! ) to Dessert -(Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake ! ) and EVERYTHING in-between, her recipes always make a big hit ! The recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients are easily obtainable at my local grocery store.
