Product Description All natural; good source of fiber. USDA Organic. For a savory hot breakfast cereal, bring 3 cups water and 1/4 tsp salt to a boil. Add 1 cup cereal, turn heat down, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 cups. Serve with honey or brown sugar and milk. Add almost any fruit or nuts to increase your breakfast nutrition and pleasure. Certified 100% organic by QAI. All natural. Friend of the heart. Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods low in total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers. Points to consider: Creamy Buckwheat is a fruit, not a grain, and is wheat free. Creamy Buckwheat's total dietary fiber content is largely soluble fiber. This is the type of fiber that many nutritionists and medical experts believe to be significant in helping to lower cholesterol levels when combined with low fat diet. Eating Creamy Buckwheat may postpone your hunger pangs. According to a USDA study and other research, buckwheat will keep glucose levels in check better than other carbohydrates.

Great breakfast food August 9, 2010 J. Jones (Maine)
Bob's Red Mill creamy buckwheat cereal is great tasting and good for you. It is a grain higher in protein and also has anti-inflamatory properties. I cook a batch ahead and also eat it cold with some ground flax seed and a little honey and rice milk. A great alternative for those of us who can't do wheat! I love it!!
It's good. July 16, 2010 Tabor Kelly (Portland, OR) I eat it because I can't eat wheat, oats, or rye. Also, most outs are contaminated with wheat oats or rye. It tastes good, for what it is.
A nice change from oatmeal July 3, 2010 ksmall1998 (Seymour, IN United States) The serving size is 1/4 cup which sounds a bit small, but after cooking you'll find a bowl full of creamy goodness. For my tastes, as I like things spicy, this cereal lends itself to plenty of pepper and hot sauce for a kicked up breakfast. Fresh fruit is a good option as well. I also add flax seed meal for added omega 3's. The Amazon subscription option is a no brainer....price discounts and free shipping! Delicious and nutritious.
5-Star Gourmet Breakfast April 25, 2010 Lorraine Keesh (Astoria, OR USA) Since I tried Bob's Red Mill Creamy Buckwheat Cereal it's become my favorite day starter, like this: timed at 4:30 min. @ 70% microwave, then a further 1 min, 40 sec. to thaw added 1 cup frozen blueberries. Top with a hefty dollop of vanilla ice cream (instead of milk). This is pure breakfast joy! Pour a cup of coffee, line up your vitamins, and have a great day.

wheat free hot cereal March 5, 2010 C.D. (MA USA) For medical reasons my children and I eat a wheat and gluten free diet. This is a wonderful hot cereal we can enjoy. I can't always find it in stores and am glad amazon carries it. Some buckwheat products take a long time to cook, but 4 minutes in the microwave is all this one takes and it tastes great. Buckwheat is very high in nutrition, including lysine, and a wonderful addition to our diet. Enjoy!
