If You Think You Can't Eat Oats, Try These September 5, 2010 Lisa M. Mims (Austin, TX United States) I have a love/hate relationship with Bob's Red Mill. Actually, it's kind of a hate/hate relationship, because over the years, their gluten-free products have made me sick. (I have fairly reactive celiac disease.) My reaction to Bob's Red Mill "gluten-free oats" was no different--they made me sick, too.
I decided to try oats again. Today, I made Bannocks, which are Scottish oat cakes, from these, and guess what: I can actually eat oats.
If you want truly gluten-free oats, these are the best!!
Finally! My daughter can have oats/oatmeal again. August 4, 2010 Thomas Turner My 14 year old daughter has been a Celiac for about 8 years and had to do without Oatmeal and Chocolate Oatmeal cookies etc. for over 7 years. While these are not exactly like Quaker, they are in fact excellent and it's nice finally add this back into her diet. They cook up well on the stove and in the microwave and also do well in baked and other recipes calling for oats. Never had a problem and highly recommend them. This is what we use for the whole family now mostly as we try to also eat Gluten free as much as possible.
Great Kosher, Gluten Free Oats! July 27, 2010 Marcia I've been looking for a source of good quality, KOSHER (they're O-U, one of the most reliable heckshers) certified gluten free oats and found these. They're great! I use them for a traditional oatmeal breakfast and they taste terrific. I also whiz them up in a food processor to make gluten free oat flour, and then use it to make my own gluten free bread. Great product!
Best Gluten Free oats I've had May 13, 2010 Julie B. Sheffield (Baton Rouge, LA) I've tried a few, and these are the best gluten free oats so far. My daughther has celiac disease and is pretty sensitive. She can eat a serving per day of these with no symptoms.
Nice to return to eating oats March 22, 2010 Anne Barfield (San Antonio, Tx USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have been buying Gluten Free Oats for several years now, after meeting the owners/family at a national GIG conference. This company is owned and operated by a family with three celiacs, so they know the importance of being sure there is no contamination in their oats.
At first I was apprehensive about trying oats after my celiac diagnosis, and am happy to tell you that I eat them every day now, in my homemade granola and we serve them to our guests at Chicken Paradise, our GF B&B. At first I ordered them from the company, but now enjoy buying them at Amazon because we have Prime Shipping. I keep the extra bags in the freezer until needed.
Thank heavens for Gluten Free Oats!
