Great taste! August 27, 2008 LAJ (Texas) I became addicted to ginger biscuits while visiting Britain. They're great dipped in hot tea! I've tried to find comparable ones back in the states, but finally had to hunt down British shops to get the real thing. I was totally amazed when I tried Pamela's Ginger Snapz. Not only are they the healthiest I've found, they're also the best tasting. These are great cookies by any standard.
Healthy, delicious and sweet! August 8, 2008 KapKodder (Cape Cod, MA) Delicious gluten free cookies! They are like candy but without all the sugar and calories - be careful though they can be addictive :-) We eat them all the time, great snacks for kids.
Awesome! August 8, 2008 M.E.'s Family (Texas) Pamela's Ginger Mini Snapz are awesome! The only other gluten free cookies I have tried were EnviroKidz Animal Cookies, and these are not even in the same league! These are not just a "good enough" substitute, they are just plain good and rival any traditionally (wheat) made ginger snap! Another reviewer mentioned eating them warmed up and they are right; when they are warmed they are soft, chewy and even better. I found this out from leaving the bag in my car, which gets quite hot in the Summer heat. The flavor is intense and they have a nice spicy bite. Despite the strong flavor, my five year old likes them too. Many gluten free baked goods don't have the same texture as the original food they are trying to copy, but Snapz have an excellent texture just like a traditional ginger snap (with the bonus of becoming soft and chewy when warm)!
Ironically, since I wrote a review on the EnviroKidz cookies, I have been diagnosed with Celiac, so I can truly appreciate Pamela's cookies for taste and for being gluten free. If they were organic, then they would have my vote for being the perfect cookie! I think if I weren't Celiac I would still buy these; they are that good! I can eat a couple and be content, but if you are a junk food junkie, you might want to steer clear of these; a glass of milk and too much idle time would make these quite dangerous to one's figure :)
finally something yummy for the rest of us! August 4, 2008 J. Elliott These are quite possibly the best brand of cookies for wheat and gluten intolerant folks to date. I love the chocolate chip too but the ginger snaps have just the right amount of flavor and cripness. they aren't mushy or thick and cake-like as some products are. They have a nice snap to them and are wonderful dipped in milk. Everyone in my family loves them, they can't tell the difference!
You do have to buy a lot of them here but I find the packaging keeps them nice and fresh. Where I live they are very hard to find in stores and are very pricey in the specialty markets. It can be cheaper to buy in quantity and or share with a friend. They are a dream come true! Try them!
Pamela saved the day June 1, 2008 Pauline E. Satterly (Groton, NY) Due to a medical condition our grandson is on a gluten-free, dairy-free, nut free diet. We tried Pamela's ginger mini snapz in FL and HE LOVED THEM. We have not been able to buy them in central NY, so I was ecstatic that we could order them from Amazon.com. I keep looking for other Pamela cookies that are gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, but have not found any. If you do have them, I would appreciate knowing of them. Pauline Satterly
