Great Snack October 8, 2008 Kelly D (Redwood City, CA) I like dried fruit and based on other reviews decided to give Bing Bing Cherry Peeled Snacks a try. They're great. The fruit is very tasty - the cherries are moister than your typical dried cherry and less sweet. The separate pack of nuts is a tasty secondary treat after the fruit is gone. A wonderful alternative to chocolate which I am prone to reach for mid-morning. Note that this snack is geared towards adults - I wouldn't purchase it specifically for children. There are other dried fruit options better suited for young'uns.
Great idea, well done, ggod price= Satisfied customer! March 3, 2008 Bones Rodriguez (New York, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I first saw Peeled snacks at JFK airport, and bought some for my flight because they seemed to be a better snack then the other crap around.
My wife and I really like them, and we have a "monthly fix" from them of this flavor, and Shockalate. We recently bought the pineapple and cashews, which mix really well!
Pretty good snack August 1, 2007 R. Burdick (Florida) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I tried this because of a guilty conscience from eating too much candy and greasy, salty snacks. They are more flavorful than most dried fruit I've tried. Cherries taste more like prunes than fresh cherries but they are not bad. Apples are very good and peaches pretty good. Best in the pack are the nuts. I am subscribing for regular deliveries of these packs.
Stale . . . . May 24, 2007 Krfan (Florida) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Unfortunately for me, the cashews and walnuts in all the packages I received were stale. In addition, most of the peaches were dried out (very tough) and some of the apples had dark spots on them despite the fact that sulfur dioxide is used as a preservative. I ordered these 05/07 and the expiration date on the packages was 06/07. I have eaten food products past their "freshness" date as long as it still taste good but these did not make it. Amazon customer service refunded my money with no hassles.
If these weren't stale, I would consider them an okay snack. I don't rate them 4 stars because there are 300 calories in a package and sulfur dioxide is used as a preservative. However, it would be a better snack for me than a candy bar.
